Each year, Hyphen celebrates Asian American men who devote themselves to worthy community causes. all-in-good-fun ogling, Mr. Hyphen is an energy-filled evening of fun and charity. Rounds will be decided alternately by an audience vote and by an illustrious panel of judges. The man who is crowned Mr. Hyphen wins a $1000 cash donation to his nonprofit organization.

Oct. 3: EPMD live at Club 6 for Kevvy Kev's bash
Kevvy Kev, host of the longest-running hip-hop radio show in the world--KZSU Stanford's "The Drum"--celebrates his 30th birthday on Oct. 3. Whether 30 is his actual age or not is debatable...dude did graduate from Stanford in '86, so you do the math. Regardless, for this occasion, he's bringing out the legendary EPMD to bless the stage at Club 6 in SF. Also on deck are DJs Apollo, Ren the Vinyl Archeologist, Chuy Gomez, and Rolo 1-3, and featuring performances from Richie Cunning, ELEMNOP, Delinquent Monastery, and the V.E.R.A Clique.
