Better late than never, right? Right. It's been almost a month since Left Fest--a nightlong showcase of quality hip-hop headlined by Bay Area legends Souls of Mischief on Jan. 28 at the Mezzanine in San Francisco--but we've finally got the photos and videos edited and upped. I mean, we could tell you how dope it was to see So Cal beat mangler Exile flip Hieroglyphics' "At the Helm" live on his MPC, or how freestyle king Supernatural flipped ridiculous off-the-cuff rhymes while puffing blunts with the crowd, or how seeing Souls rock classics was like being in a time machine taking us back to 1993. But we'd rather just show you. Check below for a photo slideshow and footage from Souls of Mischief, Supernatural, Exile, Crown Royale and Alexander Spit performing at Left Fest (apologies to Kings of 8-Bit and 40Love--we got there a little late), all shot by our drunken video correspondent, Lorenzo Escalante...
