The legendary Digable Planets returned to the Bay Area on Thursday, Sept. 11, ripping through classics like "Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)" and "Nickel Bags" to a packed house at DNA Lounge. Also on the bill was So Cal heavyweight Blu, who flipped tracks off his upcoming Johnson&Jonson album with producer Mainframe; Oakland's Kev Choice Ensemble and Bay Area-based duo Fiyawata.

Oh Dang! photographer Gretchen Robinette was on the scene.
