Keelay, one half of the cross-continental production duo Keelay & Zaire and member of the nationwide Sole Vibe family, has a lot to smile about these days. Just weeks after the release of his and Zaire's debut LP, Ridin' High, the two have been featured artists on OkayPlayer, received rave reviews and rocked numerous shows at SXSW. No doubt, you'll be hearing more about these cats as their stock rises. Not bad for a couple cats who met on an online forum, exchanging beats they made in their bedrooms. Not ones to let success slow down productivity, they've stayed in the lab, concocting more of the smooth, soulful and funky production that's garnered them so much attention thus far.
We caught up with Keelay (sans Zaire) in his San Francisco apartment to talk about Ridin' High, his influences and plans for the future. Watch the video below...

Lorenzo Escalante is a chaser of destiny, a poet of pain and a videographer of vengeance. What?!
